Beginning his career as a semi-professional rugby player, this Johannesburg based radio personality overcame the odds and moved into broadcasting as a sport presenter for Bay FM, a community radio station in Port Elizabeth.

JP was then spotted by RSG. He joined RSG in 2007 as a Presenter/Producer and presented various shows that include an afternoon sport show, music shows, the Official Top 20, features in other shows and a Talk show Monday and Saturday evenings from midnight till 5am. JP very recently join the Jacaranda FM team as sport presenter and news reader on the Breakfast Show with Rian van Heerden.

With a National Diploma in Business Management under his belt, this Uitenhage radio success story added television to his repertoire with an appearance as a TV sport presenter and analyst on SABC SPORT and is currently the Sport Presenter/Writer on eTV’s eNuus, the first Independent Afrikaans News Bulletin since the inception of Television in South-Africa. JP is a founder member of eNuus, which airs every evening on Kyknet’s Channels 144 & 145 on DSTV. eNuus is Kyknet’s number 1 program and boast with AR’s of 500 Thousand viewers every evening. He made his acting début in the student short film, The Maid and recently appeared in the Afrikaans Movie Hartsbegeertes.

JP is driven to continue to build his career. Through dedication and commitment, he established himself as a credible and successful sport presenter on National TV and Radio. He also started his own TV production company, Blue Avo Productions.
